NSF I-Corps Program: NSF I-Corps fosters entrepreneurship that will lead to the commercialization of technology that has been supported previously by NSF-funded research. There are three distinct components of I-Corps: Teams, Nodes and Sites. The I-Crops Team award is $50,000 for six months and has rolling applications throughout the year.

NSF Partnerships for Innovation: The PFI program offers opportunities to connect new knowledge to societal benefit through translational research efforts and/or partnerships that encourage, enhance, and accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship. The program provides up to $200,000 of funding over 18 months. This program has LOI and Full proposal deadlines each spring and fall.

SBIR/STTR Program: The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant programs award more than $2.5 billion in a year in non-dilutive capital to help your company develop and commercialize innovative new technologies. The program is available only to for-profit companies. Phase I funding normally does not exceed $150,000 for SBIR and $225,000 for STTR.
